Chuck's very patient answering the questions, but I can tell he's very irritated with the same questions over and over and over again.
Would you fight Tito again?
Are you retiring?
What are you take on Dana White saying he'll cut you if you want to continue?
Do you think you have anything left?
I can see why he gets irritated, but he should expect it and he was a class act answering the questions when you can obviously tell he hates answering the same question over and over and over again.

Re: Chuck Liddell Talks About His Recent Fight, Toney vs Couture
SO who would make a good opponent for Chuck next if he does indeed get to fight again..?
In my opinion I think Forrest Griffin would make a nice opponent, that way the UFC benefits from either fighter winning; and Forrest is young enough to stick around and comeback if he were to lose?
Re: Chuck Liddell Talks About His Recent Fight, Toney vs Couture
Forrest would be a great fight. Forrest doesn't have a lot of KO power it seems because he rarely does KO people, but he would be a great banger in their with Chuck. Although, he may do the leg kick thing like Jardine.
Still, that would be an interesting fight. I would love to see it.

I feel the same way. I wish Chuck would stop.
Although, I have to admit if he were going to fight one more time I think Forrest would be the safest fight for him and his health.

Agreed. If he were to fight one more time Forrest is a big enough name to go out with a bang and yet safe enough for him to not take a lot of damage.
Re: Chuck Liddell Talks About His Recent Fight, Toney vs Couture
shogun didnt hit him extremely hard and franklin just basically tapped him not even hitting the so called "button". Forrest has enough power to knock him out now and thats what im predicting. after that chuck will lose consciousness every time he bumps his head on the corner of the cupboard.

That's not entirely true. Though it wasn't the most powerful shot ever thrown, Chuck more or less sprinted into the punch face-first. That spells KO everytime no matter who you are.

there is no way in hell that shot knocks him out 5 years ago. his brain is just conditioned now to turn off with the first feel of danger.
maybe when he passes out from a slap during some rough sex with one of his bitches he will learn that its time to stop.

Re: Chuck Liddell Talks About His Recent Fight, Toney vs Couture
Shogun threw a leaping hook that hit right on the chin...and just because Liddells head didnt go flying off doesn't mean Franklin didn't hit him with a big punch. Rich torqued pretty hard with his hips, and as Trigger said Liddell was sprinting toward him. It must have been a decent enough shot, because he was hit many times prior to that and didn't have a problem

I think it's hilarious that people think that Franklin's punch would've KO'd anyone. Chuck's chin is certified porcelain.

I think it's hilarious that this is your entire arguement:

Re: Chuck Liddell Talks About His Recent Fight, Toney vs Couture
Do I really need to make an argument? Chuck's been KO'd in 4 of his last 6 fights and Rich Franklin has never proved himself be a powerpuncher.
Re: Chuck Liddell Talks About His Recent Fight, Toney vs Couture
Well, at least you made an arguement this time.
The amount of times a fighter is KO'd has no bearing on the power of the punch he is taking.
I don't think Rich hits as hard as Chuck or any other well-known "power" puncher, but he hits pretty fucking hard; ask Nate Quarry. And like I said, if any fighter does what Chuck did and just comes barreling in with his chin forward and head up, he is going to sleep.
Anyway, I never said that Chuck has no issues with his chin; he certainly does. But the Franklin KO was more a result of Chuck's reckless style (and perhaps technical flaws) than it was a result of Chuck's recent chin issues.

Re: Chuck Liddell Talks About His Recent Fight, Toney vs Couture
The Nate Quarry KO was more than 5 years ago and Rich hasn't been able to do anything remotely close to it before and since. It was an isolated incident.
Chuck's forward momentum is almost completely gone by the time the punch lands if you watch the replay closely. His chin was obviously exposed but he didn't sprint into the punch like people keep saying. Also there's no real sign of major impact from the multiple angles in which you can see the punch land. It wasn't that hard, plain and simple.
chuck's chin + rich's history + replays of the punch + "that would've KO'd anybody" = hilarious
Re: Chuck Liddell Talks About His Recent Fight, Toney vs Couture
I honestly don't know what replay you are watching. I see Chuck flying into the pocket, missing with a big punch, and diving face-first into a hard straight right that catches Chuck right on the chin hard enough to buckle it into his own neck. Rich timed it perfectly, and Chuck was reckless. That's why he got KO'd. Plain and simple.
Here's my own little equation to stay with your theme;
Chuck's momentum + Rich's timing + Chuck's reckless technique = Guaranteed KO.

Re: Chuck Liddell Talks About His Recent Fight, Toney vs Couture
Guaranteed KO... against Chuck, yes.
There are plenty of punches that have landed flush on other fighters that had they landed on Chuck would've rendered him unconscious.

Re: Chuck Liddell Talks About His Recent Fight, Toney vs Couture
True. If you read my other posts, you would see that I agree with that statement. That's not my arguement. I'm simply saying that this particular KO we are discussing was not a result of Chuck's chin issues. You're arguing with me about the wrong things, it seems.

Re: Chuck Liddell Talks About His Recent Fight, Toney vs Couture
You say that punch would've KO'd anybody because the way Chuck reacted to it has left an impression on you, even if you don't want to admit it. Machida landed a flush straight left on Shogun's temple in their second fight. If he landed that on Chuck, he would've surely been KO'd. This, no doubt, would've lead to many people saying that that particulary punch would've KO'd anybody even though that obviously wouldn't have been the case.
Re: Chuck Liddell Talks About His Recent Fight, Toney vs Couture
Why didn't Liddell get knocked out the other 20+ times he was hit in the first round then? I agree with this being hilarious.
Please continue, I am amused.
