Topic: Gina Carano confirmed as new American Gladiator - Crush
We have known for a few days Gina Carano, Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter was going to be one of the new Gladiators but we were unsure of which one. Well it has been confirmed she will be gladiator ‘Crush’, a new name added to the mix for more then one reason I am sure. Gina Carano is currently a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter with a record of 5-0-0 and a fight as recent as September 15 of this year against Tonya Evinger who she defeated via a choke submission.

Someone posted something about this awhile ago. Apparently they are making it "extreme". I think on ESPN classic they got pretty solid ratings when they would show the re-runs. Too lazy to check the numbers tho. WAR CRUSH

Not only are they resurrecting it, but NBC is putting it on at night..Primetime baby...lol They showed the commercial for this during the last couple of sunday night football games like a million times.

This is incredible!!! What a blast into the retro!! Can't wait to watch it. Wonder if it will be all the same events or if they'll come up with some new ones. can't wait to see the contestants get hit with tennis balls from the blasters

The show is easy to make fun of now twenty years later, but it was pretty cool at the time and the concept is still cool. If they do this right it could be a lot of fun to watch.

I loved this show!! As did every kid of the 80s. Super pumped that is it going to resurrected. I hope they do it well, as said above.

My favorite gladiator from back in the day was Gemini. That dude was a freekin moose. I remember playing Gladiators as a kid in the living room, beating the hell out of each other with couch cushions and what not. There was also another show of the same theme about 6 or 7 years ago called Battle Dome. Anyone remember that??
