Topic: Tito Ortiz vs Ken Shamrock III on Spike TV
Well all you fanatics of both parties seemed to have got what you wanted. It looks like Ken vs Ortiz will happen for a third and (HOPEFULLY) final rubber match. The good news IF any would be that the fight will be on Spike TV, which I would expect the telecast to be free (yay!). It was rumored that the fight will happen in October (possibly 10th) at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla. Although, I wouldn't be shocked to see it at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas, where Diego Sanchez fights Karo Parisyan. "The way that fight ended the last time (stunk), and we care about our fans and our customers," White said. "They were booing and throwing (things) and I've never experienced anything like that before. It was a bad scene. "That fight had a lot of buildup and a lot of hype and it ended in a minute. Nobody got to see the fight they paid to come to see, so we're going to give it to them." White said he is still negotiating contract terms with both fighters. My opinion, this would be fun to watch, but I don't think Ken deserves a rematch. The upside, we are going to see it bring in more viewers in the long run for UFC. Dana White knows what he is doing. He is selling a blood fued that is going to put butts in the seat. Although I disagree Ken deserves a rematch, it's good to keep Tito Ortiz active until he fights a contender.

I can't wait for this to be OVER. Tito Ortiz needs to fight top fighters and establish himself as the number one contender for the belt. Let him fight Babbalu or rematch Forrest Griffin.
So... you know how when you're walking by a group of people, and you hear them laughing, you sometimes get that paranod, self- conscious feeling that maybe they're laughing about you, when they're really not? Well in your case, they really are.

Re: Tito Ortiz vs Ken Shamrock III on Spike TV
Excellent! Finally, it might be done and dusted after this. I wonder will anyone shell out a penny to actually go and see this farce again. I certainly wouldnt. Props to Dana though, and I don't often say that, he knows whats gonna bring in viewers. I'm now officialy offering the below odds of - Herb Dean being the ref - 10,000 to 1 Shamrock winning by KO - 10,000,000 to 1 Shamrock having some gripe after being beaten for a third time and still not accepting gracefully that its time for the pipe and slippers - Evens

hahahaha, does anyone know how I can bet on this. I'm putting my entire life savings (isn't much btw) on Tito for a win. There is no way I could lose my money.

Re: Tito Ortiz vs Ken Shamrock III on Spike TV
Glad to hear this, for all of those people who say Shamrock dosen't have a chance I never got this. If anything at all he always has a puncher's chance, and his experience will help him. What I never understood is why he dosen't try to take Tito down and use his submissions. I mean, he has to be just as strong as Tito, and he has the submissions, so I say use them. Just stay away from the ground and pound and he'd e fine.

Re: Tito Ortiz vs Ken Shamrock III on Spike TV
Ken will sooner or later win. I never got the impression Dana White feels the fight was stopped prematurely. I know he wished it would have lasted longer, but precautions to any fight has to be taken in account. I would be surprised if they both or Ken signs a waiver saying "let me die in the ring" signing his life away

Re: Tito Ortiz vs Ken Shamrock III on Spike TV
I think they should do an "I quit" match, basically like the original UFC's. Don't stop it unless there out or if he tapped. And if you want to know if the fight was stopped eary, dload the video and listen to Randy Coture's voice, then look at Chuck Lidell's face after the stoppage.

No comment. We will see a rubber match (YAY). Even though rubber matches are the deciding third match, but in this case....Ah hell, rubber match it is!

I see another first round stoppage and a cascade of boos in the near future---and hopefully a retirement speech to follow.

Come on, Ken's odds mathmatically would have to get better the more he fights Tito Ortiz We gotta give him a 1 out of 10.

HA!!! I don't give him that hugh of a chance. Maybe if they fight 100 times, Tito will get sloppy at the end and give up maybe, 5 matches. Not that I'd even wanna see a 3rd match though.

Re: Tito Ortiz vs Ken Shamrock III on Spike TV
Has anyone given any thought to this fight being a favor to Tito from Dana? In the video clip posted after 61, Tito was saying that he wants to fight again this year, since Chuck is fighting again in Nov.---"but that is entirely up to Dana" he said. I'm just curious as to why he couldn't schedule him against a better fighter than Ken.

Re: Tito Ortiz vs Ken Shamrock III on Spike TV
I agree, if this happens, it's because Babalu isn't available. But fighting Shamrock again shouldn't up Tito's place in line. What about Jeremy Horn? He should be in right about the same spot as Tito (in terms of title shots) since he lost to Chuck and has 2 wins since. Anybody else wanna see that? That's be a great test for Tito, (and I actually think Horn can submit him)

I haven't seen the UFC 61 fights yet. Tell me what happened, what did Randy say and what was Chucks facial expression?

Off the top of my head I can not remember what Randy said but Chuck was disgusted and so was anyone who had eyes in the front part of their head. The fight was stopped to early. Period. UFC 61 is not worth buying mate, except for the Stevenson fight which was how a UFC fight should be.

Re: Tito Ortiz vs Ken Shamrock III on Spike TV
Wow...Horn vs Ortiz. Man, I wouldn't or maybe I should reword it "I don't" want to predict it. I think Horn could submit Ortiz, but Ortiz is just to explosive. He might over commit then Horn would capitalize. That would be a great fight. I would love to see that, but it won't happen. Horn wasn't resigned with UFC and signed a contract with IFL. Horn fights Matt Lindad in September (I think).

Well, Chuck being a stand-up guy he really didn't want to say anytihng to damaging to the UFC, but you could just tell by his voice. He was like "oh, well you never wanna disagree with a ref, but that did look early." And things like that. The the camera panned to Chuck Lidell's face, and LOL. He kept saying something to his buddy right next to him like "I don't know why, etc." And his face had a horrible disgsted look on it, I'm pretty sure he was pissed. He was in disbelief.

Aw man, say it ain't so! I wonder who's corner he'll be in, Pat's or Matt's. Or is he fighting on the same card as Pat? Oh well, on to Sham/Ortiz 3 *sarcastic whoopeee*
